Common questions

Answers before you ask.

A new 3-ton AC unit installed runs $5,500–$9,500 depending on efficiency rating (SEER), brand, and installation complexity. A full system (AC + furnace or heat pump) runs $9,000–$18,000. We give written quotes after a free in-home assessment.

For most Indianapolis homes, a heat pump now makes more sense than gas — IRA tax credits cover up to $2,000, utility rates are favorable, and modern heat pumps work efficiently down to -10°F. We'll model both options for your specific home at your assessment.

Most AC-only replacements take 6–8 hours, completed in a single day. Full system replacements (AC + furnace) take 1–2 days. Geothermal installations take 3–5 days due to the ground loop work.

We don't recommend duct cleaning as a regular service — most studies show it doesn't improve indoor air quality. We DO recommend high-MERV filtration, UV systems, and ERVs for actual IAQ improvement. Happy to assess what your home needs.

Geothermal costs more upfront ($25k–$50k) but cuts heating/cooling bills 50–70% and qualifies for a 30% federal tax credit. Payback is typically 8–12 years. Best for homeowners staying long-term in larger homes.

Yes. Our annual plan ($199) includes spring AC tune-up, fall furnace tune-up, priority emergency scheduling, and 15% off repairs. Pays for itself if anything goes wrong.
